A bit concerned by the distance from the back pane of glass and the weir on the modular marine ghost overflow. It appears that there is a gag on all of their overflow designs but this is quiet significant at 1 1/2 inches. Not really keen on the ‘dead’ that may develop behind this.

Am I overreacting?

I think you have the bulkheads backwards. Flange is in the display tank and nut in overflow box.
Yeah I went to their website and discovered my error. The new problem is the restrictive space where with I now have to work on a BeanAnimal design in the overflow box

yeah it gets tight. not sure on your plan for plumbing if I ever do one again I'll be running soft line between the box and my hard plumbing to sump. I battled leaks from the bulkheads with mine I believe from my plumbing maybe not lining up perfectly and applying pressure to the outside box. I feel like tubing for the final connection would have made things a hell of a lot easier.

Did they place the tank for you?

Well yes and no. Trent (who had a bum shoulder) was extremely helpful bringing those large furniture dollies and a elevator for us to place the tank, but I had to have 3 buddies on hand for most of the moving. I’ll start up my build thread shortly.
