NUKE Experiment!!!

I'm sick of these things. Whatever you do, never introduce them into your tank. you will be sorry, I promise. They are taking over and invading in on my zoas, so I am going to try something with the help of another reefer's advice. Here's my plan:

I was told that kalk paste will eradicate them, but since I now have so many, I can't treat in the tank or my pH will spike. So, I'm going to pull one rock at a time and have it sit in a bucket of kalk water overnight. Recommended by my friend, I plan to use a 2 tsp per 1 gallon mix in a 5 gallon bucket. I will be starting today, or tomorrow, depending on the answer to my one final question.(waiting for answer now) I will post updates for anybody interested. Here's pics of how bad they have gotten:

Well, got my answer, rather quickly I might add, thanks Guru. I will be starting tomorrow instead. My question was whether to use SW or RO/DI water with the kalk, it was suggested to use tank water...

to make the paste, use saltwater... if you mix with freshwater, you're just going to make kalk water... and will raise your PH in the tank...

well, as long as you do it outside the DT...

I assume you're talking to sahn as I would never wish these on anybody...:peace:
They seem to be dorm it in some tanks but one day Booya they are like every where! BEWARE!
Exactly, i had a one inch plug for a good year before they took off and now they are everywhere. They also spread weird ways, basically jumping from rock to rock..
worst mistake I ever made was putting these in my tank, they are everywhere
Mine too...

Thanks, I am doing another WC tomorrow so I will be using the tank water to soak them in and to make the paste. How thick do I want the paste? More like a gravy or closer to peanut butter?

Thanks for all the help, keeping my fingers crossed that the kalk part will keep them gone as I have pulled the rocks twice before and scrubbed them but they always came back...
