Sell some if possible! (Help fund the Kalk powder) I sold 10$ 1"x1" frags at RAP. Good for people with Nanos and PC lights....
I thought about that, but then I realized I hate these things and I don't want to put anybody elsethrough this, and that I really don't like the guy who sold them to me anymore. :nono::evil: They are not good for any tanks, imho.

Fianlly found some time today and started my Nuke Project. Taking advice from you guys, I both kalk pasted them AND now have them in kalk water at a mixture of 2 tsp per 1 gallon of tank water. Here are some pics:

Update

Well, I took the rock out of the kalk mix today. It smelled pretty nasty. I scrubbed off the kalk paste and put it in a newly mixed bucket of SWwith a K$ running. My zoas still look intact, if they ever open again is a question to be answered later. No real signs of the blue clove polyps, looks like they disintegrated away. Strange as heck though, I missed a nerite snail and it was still alive, crazy huh? It is in the mixing bucket currently, if it makes it til tomorrow, it can go back in the tank.

Don't use too much Kalk paste in your tank at once, it could nuke your tank.

I recommend turning off all flow possible then apply the Kalk paste and let it sit for a few minutes. The with a 1/2 inch hose or smaller siphon out all the Kalk paste. That should do the trick.

I think you killed the live rock and it's dead by now, you might be starting a mini cycle from this. How long was the LR submerged in Kalk water in the bucket?

Too much to do it in the tank. Everything I did was done outside the tank.

I will be changing buckets of water every few days in order to avoid the cycle in the DT. I am basically just killing off bacteria on the rock so if there is a cycle, it will be slight and there is enough good bacteria in the main tank to not really have to worry about a major spike. I will be watching super close just in case...
