I have been planning an upgrade from my current 90 gallon frag tank to a 120 very, very soon. I was going to start a build thread as it comes together here in the next couple weeks. So far I have a new controller, calcium reactor w/ regulator & pumps & CO2 tank, 2 mp 40's, skimmer, led light for fuge, 8 bulb T5, return pump, rock, stand, tank, 2 sheets of black egg crate, 23 gallon reservior for ATO, 55 gallon drum for water changes (to be plumbed in). Just looking to possibly upgrade my sump from a 40 to a 90, I have everything else to get going.
I took some cell phone pics of my tank last night and will be starting the progression pics from there.

Will do my best to keep this thread updated as the build happens. I apologize for the crappy pics, all I have is my cell phone :D

Why did you go with a full tank rather than a shallow frag tank?

Looks great by the way...some nice pieces in there.

I decided to go with a normal setup so that I could have 3-4 different levels of lighting based on corals. Since I am keeping mushrooms, fungias, z&p, and al kinds of hard corals, I thought a muti level frag tank would be best, and has worked well so far.
Thanks for the compliment, I'm doing my best!

I think you should add more frags in their
Muahaha, I will be adding more frags soon, just won some e-bay auctions last night, lol!

Have any pics of your display? Nice frags geez.
Unfortunately I tore my display down about 1 1/2 years ago and have not set up a new one. I started buying stuff for my display (I have a 150 gallon peninsula sitting on my garage floor, never had water in it, still has the stickers) but will be using those items on the new farm, as I decided a peninsula will not work in my house (the wife won't let me). So now I am looking to get a 150-180 starfire, eurobraced, custom for inside, as the farm is in the garage.
Thanks for the compliment! I wish I had the camera and skills to get some good pics of my stuff, as what I can do doesn't come close to a true representation of colors, and I can't even do macro shots....maybe I could pay a real reef photographer some nice frags to help me with my plight :D

I'm hoping the transfer happens the weekend after next, as that's when I think I will have all the rest of the necessary work on this thing done. Here goes;

My Tank Build

Looks great so far! You are doing the right thing by Organizing your electrical and other items up-front it ends up saving tons of time, rats-nests of wires and potential fire hazards. Also congrats on being able to keep that list of zoas, half of them are notorious melters....

Thanks a lot bro! I have dealt with the rats nests in the past and always hated it. This will be the first tank that I have had that will be 100% automated, and all of the plumbing and electrical will be extremely clean and organized! I can't wait to have this thing up and running. Thanks for the props on the z & p, everything is charging and looking way different than before. I will have to do a picture update of all the coral right before I break down the tank and transfer everything.
