Have you considered a black backing on your aquarium? I think it would be really pleasing to the eye and would cover up the mess of cords behind the tank....
Considered yes, I would rather just buy some wall/wire covers, and spend the time to maintain and hide the wires. Which is doable. Once my replacement LED comes in I will get this done.

Nah like 50% right now. They are really really bright. And I'm up in the air as to what I am going to keep. But it will be a mixed reef

The shrimp goby pair is cool. We have had a pair almost the entire time we have had the tank. Our shrimp now is huge at just over 3". They are fun to watch. Keep the updates coming

Great start....you will have a great tank in no time! consider painting or putting a black background on your tank. It will disguise all the wires and make the focus the tank rather than the wires and white wall behind. I think it'll make a big difference...jmo....

with LED, you can keep anything you want but mixed reef is not a bad idea either. I have a mixed reef myself and love it.. SPSs on top and mid with softies on bottom. I also have clam and lps on my sandbed. Looks more natural that way..

now to get my picassos to host it, they seem to be "special" and swim all day into the corner of the tank.

and yes before it gets mentioned again I will be adding a back to the tank to hide the wires! Just wanna perfect the powerhead placement, and a few more things before I do, so for now ignore the white wall and wires:)

And it may look like a reflection but that is two fish
