Is it normal for their to be bubbles coming out of the diatoms this has never happened in my previous tanks lmk guys

It might be the completion of your nitrogen cycle. The last step is anaerobic bacteria turning nitrate to nitrogen gas that escapes at the water's surface. The sand provides a place for that anaerobic bacteria so bubbles come out of the sand which are nitrogen gas bubbles.

Did you test ammo again? Also test nitrates. When you have nitrates its a good sign.

Ive been having nitrates for a bit now I added some dr tims today but it was already kinda doing it now its just going super fast pretty cool actually lol lil bubbles everywhere
