Sorry about the ick issues
I copper quarantine all of my fishes before but they still gets ick so just put them on my 150 folwr by themselves to fatten them up, built confidence and immunity after few weeks they go to my main tank.
And They recover better after few days of stress!
Copper is good but as soon as then exposed to ick they get it right away but if they build up immunity or resistant to ick its very difficult to kill the fish with ick!
