Tank is 82g, 36"/24"/22"
Using a eheim 1262 but it's so loud.
I have a dannon supreme model 7 pump new but is it big enough? And is it quiet?
What's right for this size tank?

honestly, there is no quiet return pump. They all produce a audible frequency and vibration. Best bet is to keep pumps outside and run the lines in. Or put the sump and pumps in a closet and run the lines through the wall. or you could go with a smaller sized pump rated for less than your tank, and then go with Tunzes in your tank for the added water flow.

+1 I have heard good things about the DC Jebao's, that's the next pump I am gonna buy. Plus they have adjustable flow and you can't beat the price for such a powerful pump!

+1 on the Laguna.

I have a Laguna 1350 on a stand from socaltropicalfishoutlet. The little rubber feet absorb any vibration. You cannot hear the pump at all.

I'm currently running a reef octo dc10500 and love it. Dead silent, adjustable flow, little to no heat, and half the power consumption of the mag 18 I was using.
For sound comparision I hear my wp25's across the room very faintly, at about 2' from tank I can hear the over flow, cleaning the glass I can hear the skimmer, if I stick my head in the sump area I still can't here the dc pump.

What setting do you have it set for the flow?

Laguna, eheim, or any of those new DC pumps. Quietest pumps I've ever heard.

Mag, quiet one, Reeflo etc are great pumps, but they're def NOT silent like the other pumps I mentioned.

Waterblaster are quiet. Jebao are quite it too, but it seems to lack the power for it size. I switched from the warerblaster to a dc6000 and im not seeing much of a water movement. Its running@1 pass half...i would get a laguna if your in the market....
