This thread is for everyone,

I am getting a 30x30x18 rimless tank and don't know whether to get 36 or 40inch stand. What stand would you pick if you were me???????

I would suggest a 36" Bon, I believe 36" is usually the standard height. If you get anything taller it's custom. Also you might want to consider maintenance with a 40" high stand. It could be a pain. Also it's really up to you with the design of the stand. Since you're getting a rimless tank I would consider something really simple and clean. I personally like clean edges, something modern. Just my opinion good luck.

Id say go with your height. My stand is 30" but tank is almost 24"
Im 5'11" and i can barely reach the bottom, especially with a light fixture above.

My stand is 40" and the tank is 24" high and I am 6' tall, so it's a perfect view.
If I have to do any real work in the tank, I use a small ikea step.

yeah i also like a tank where you dont have to bend down too much to look in but cleaning would be a pain with a higher stand no ???

go 40 and it is good for viewing but a pain in a@@ for maintenance. go 36 and it isn't so good for viewing but great for maintenance. Man, i can't win. Life sucks. jk I am 6ft and my wife is 5'5", I guess I am going with a 36. haha. :bawling:

ur not gonna really loose much viewing off the 4" difference. Also depends on your viewing location if your gonna be sitting back or if you plan to be right up on the glass... I think you made a good choice :D
