New 120 Gallon Set Up

Well I started off with a 50 gallong tank over a year ago and wanted to upgrade so i bit the bullet and went for it.

There is no water in the tank yet but hoping to add some in tomorrow if things go right. Still trying to get a proper manifold built. Will see how it all goes. If anyone has any recommendations let me know

SWEET! I really want to upgrade to a 120g the 4x2x2 dimensions are PERFECT! Can't wait to see this with water in it...

So earlier this week I had a structural engineer at my work double check my calcs to see if my floor can support the tank. The results were good as it can. Even though all was good i went to Home Depot got some 4x4, concrete post foundations and supported the floor anyways just to be safe.

I spent all morning supporting the floor and here is the finished product

Thanks cant wait for it to completely cycle so I can add the goodies.

Next up I gotta get the manifold set up running and add GFO and Carbon to the reactors... Once its cycled I will add bio pellets and see how things do. Hopefully it aint over kill.

i was thinking about that.... I was planning on trying mangroves and use the egg crate to help support them/keep them in place.

About 99% of you don't know me but i started a build last year and kinda been on a brief Hiatus lol hence my username. Been occupied with work and trying the complete a major contract on time... **** Airports lol


Here is an update of my tank : gone through a cyano out break & some green slime algae but other than that nothing major.

Corals: A Good Amount but could have more... Some High End and you know the normal stuff.

New Equipment:

The Filter Guys OCEAN REEF MISER SIX STAGE RO/DI 150 GPD this guys saves water like a MOFO with a standard 30 gallon barrel mixing station

Both fans on my radions gave out in december but lights continued to run EcoTech customer service was great and they sent me out new ones which was awesome. I guess you get what you pay for in a good way lol.

Tunze Auto-Top Off cause The Avast auto-top off didnt cut it and was unreliable

My sad attempt of a Fuge but it work.. A little Chetto and seeded the tank with 5000 pods from Reefs2Go they had a sale i couldnt pass up

The Diamond Goby this guy causes a Mess Everywhere but it is what it is

Overall Shot (Kinda wanna save the very top of the aquascape for some SPS when im ballsy enough to try it
