The screws on the side attach to your lense, and allow u to zoom by just twisting the camera box.

Attaches perfectly to my stock canon t3i lense.

I got my camera from canon directly. They have a customer loyalty program where u send in an old canon camera, doesn't matter if it's working or not, and they give U discounts on new/refurbished cameras. I paid $380 for my t3i. Comes with lens, battery, and charger.
