New from Bakersfield/Redlands :)

Hey y'all! New to this hobby/site, from Bakersfield where I'm a Labor & Delivery RN, but come to Redlands frequently where my boyfriend Nick lives (nsakis). I've helped him with his tanks for the last 4 years but never had one of my own....until last night at the xmas party when Nick won the 10gallon frag tank, which I deemed mine fairly quickly. . Love my little tank and can't wait to get started. My plans are to have a mini reef, sticking with mainly softies, and once it's stable enough I hope to have a pair of clowns and a little nem.
Would love any advice, tips, or anything for sale that I may need in my start up!

Also want to say how much I appreciate whoever donated this tank to the raffle, because even though I've been associated with the hobby, this is my first opportunity to actually do it myself and learn first hand. Can't wait to get started!!

Welcome to scr Amy. It was nice meeting u last night at the Holliday get together. Hope u have fun in the hobby. The best advice I could give is do not rush in the hobby take ur time. I do have some sand and rock you guys can have.

Great! I will start a build thread soon - We are headed out in a bit to buy the plumbing supplies. As of now we are likely going to make my sump........but if someone has a 20gal sump for sale, I would greatly appreciate a message

Glad you enjoyed the holiday party! Congrats again on winning the tank- Reefapple donated the tank to our club.
There are alot of reefers in socal that work in or for hospitals in some way or another. If you PM reefapple they may be able to help you design a nice stand and light holder.
