Sounds like that too much gfo is being used. Phyto can add to waste if nothing consumes it. Coral snow based on brand can actually also increase nutrients significantly (tlf as an example)
I believe you are referring to coral snow from Korallin zucht, nothing like the other brands. I believe it’s major deal is chalk/calcite (side note, supposed to help get rid of vermitid snails), which clarifies water; kinda like carbon.

TLF product is called marine snow, nothing like the original coral snow by KZ...... I can see why you got confused.. lots of brands out there using the "snow" in their product description.
No GFO, that stuff is no bueno. Dosing PBNS, its working, it was way worse, under control now, also scrubbing out and dosing DIY coral snow. I threw in some dove snails, and now they are laying eggs everywhere....free CUC..
I use RowaPhos it works great and when my po4 gets low I shut it off until I need it again. Along with about 5 Turbos and walla
Almost over night gone try it you won’t go back!
Yes. Made of what chalk is made of as mentioned above. I’m not confused. Just was trying to clarify for any readers who are not familiar and may try the wrong one.
its downstairs, I just wanted a bit of counter space to place food and water testing stuff.... I find it useful. its more of a commercial setup.... I live alone, so no wife to bug me to wanting it to match the furniture.
the coral snow is by KZ and is sold at BRS. The yellow snow is a coral food sold by algae barn.
The coral snow is mostly a calcium carbonate, not really sure if KZ puts anything else in there.. They are really secretive and will not list ingredients, but when its dry, it has a chalky finish on the surface. There is a thread on reef2reef on how to make your own, the product sold on BRS can be expensive over time.
I printed these corner tabs that rest on the glass and purchased a standard window screen frame from home depot, and some clear 1/8 square netting from ebay. If you need a set, I can print them for you at no charge...
just pay for postage which should be a few bucks at the most.
I have the nuts on the top section of the rail already inserted, I just have to print out some hinges, and am going to use 1/4" plywood, and frame it with aluminum to prevent it from bowing. I will probably install magnets at the corners where they meet to prevent it from gapping.
it will be a while till I get to that seeing how busy things are getting with my work.... I barely found time to get my frame up after having ready and sitting there for 1 month.
