Hey guys. Name is John, and just found this forum. I'll also start a thread in the members area with my tank specifics.

However I've had my saltwater tank for about 2-3 months now; it consists of:
A 60 gallon acrylic tan
40 gallon glass tank, which I made into a sump
Custom stand I built
50lbs mixed sand/coral substrate
60-70 lbs live rock
Pair of oscellaris clownfish
One purple dottyback
One lemon peel tang-I know, tank is too small for it and sadly, I made the mistake of learning this after I took it home.

Looking forward to meeting you all!

John

Lol I have the tapatalk...it's how I found this forum :)

Here's some photos I've taken with my phone.

My DIY stand, it's my first time working with wood-so it's sloppy

My hand me down Bubble Magnus NAC6 skimmer. (Uncle was too lazy to clean pump, so he bought a new one and gave this to me!)

My finished stand. The door slides in and out. The top half is dry erase and the bottom is a chalkboard. That way my kids can write on it.

Oscellaris clown pair. "Daddy Nemo and baby Nemo" as my kids say.

Purple dottyback. He's very shy, this was the best photo I got

Strictly Fish in Yorba Linda on the other side of Fullerton Also sponsor on here as well.
Coral Island is off of Chapman in Orange and also a sponsor.
Amazing Aquariums in Orange off of Katella.
Coral Collection is a little further but still close in Westminster/GGrove. Was started by two SCR guys
Coral Gazers moved to Tustin off of redhill
and there are still a ton of other places but most would agree these are the places that emphasize on corals and SW fish with decent reputations. Its great to live in OC for this hobby and many on this forum envy your location!

Reefes pieces thanks for all Te locations. I've already planned trips to Coral Grazers and strictly fish before, too.

Appreciate the welcome; I'm looking forward to meeting you all as the tank progresses.
