Also need to figure this out. Gunk is accumulating in the fuge. Once the fuge is established I don’t think it’ll be a problem but for now I’m thinking about busting out the aqua c remora with the skimmer box. What do you guys think? Any other ideas?

So I just wrapped up my third dose of ammonia followed by an overdose of bacteria and a carbon source to trigger a bacterial bloom. Once it cleared up I added tisbe pods. Last night I put a flashlight after harvesting the phyto and found isopods in the tank. WE HAVE LIFE IN THE TANK! I’m going to try to catch some isopods and see if I can get a culture going.

The tank is going through its “ugly” stage. Diatoms are starting to pop up so I’m trying a new mix of OG Phyto. My Diatom Mix has three strains of domesticated diatoms. This mix will outcompete the diatoms growing in the tank. I started my first dose with 250ml since my tank is already used to live phytoplankton. I’ll keep an eye on the diatoms that are growing and adjust my dose accordingly. My next dose might be 350ml (1ml per total water volume)
