also... if you weren't going to use the stand, you should've just chucked it at the on ramp before taking it all home...

and btw... your house feels very "homey" to me in the pics... like if that's my uncle's house or something...

Thanks Gumbii! Pulsar? that's messed up man! That's a Starion!!! WAY better than a pulsar :tongue1: I think there are cockatiels in there... or conures... I dunno they are my dads birds... but next to that we have 2 Double yellow head amazons. I got the tank at night. I knew the stand was bad but I didn't know it was that bad. Besides I used the frame of that stand as a model for the one I built. It's a mexicans house man! that's why it feels "homey" :laugh:

yup 19C race turbo. Thats my first HP engine that I've built. I was taking out camaros with 350's with no problem. I spent 4 g's on that engine... It's bad a$$

Oh man! a lot of heavy lifting these last few days!!!! So yesterday I shut down the 220 and Keith came to pick it up. Thanks to Mike (smalltime) for all his help with this transition!!!

ok sot I put sand and water in the tank. I got this sand because all you need to do is add fish... no cycling required!... lol good marketing huh?

this is 120lbs of new sand that I put in

so while that was settling I worked on my over flow

the previous owner cut out every other tooth so I broke them all off. He did it because he had a monster pump and the over flow was restricting the drain

fortunately I still have the 150G that broke so I hacked off that over flow and I'm going to glue that on with some weldon 16. The bad thing is that it only had 2 sides to the overflow so I had to make the third... I'll post pictures later...

After I drained my 120 and moved the LR and LS over to the new tank

I didn't want to put my fish or frags in there so this is where they spent the night and the better part of today

and tonight I transfered every one in... except for my skunk clowns

then I put up my AI's. The 6 foot rails that I ordered are backordered so I came up with a makeshift hanging kit until they come in

Man! I think I got good coverage on this tank with only 3 units!!!! these things are beasts!!!

that is all for now. tomorrow I'll go to lowes after work to pick up plumbing supplies for this thing. Hopefully I can get the skimmer in there by Thursday!

Looks awesome! I've been wanting to build a metal stand for a while and this might have just pushed me over the edge! Your stand is perfect, so if you ever get the itch to bust out another one........you know.....just saying....

got some plumbing done today. I also fixed the overflow!

water cleared up nicely. Good start for running a clean sump.

I had to add a couple 45's because the PVC pipe would have hit the rails on the stand

and with the pool hose

it has 4 days worth of skimming to catch up on haha now I can put the room back together and then work on the aqua scape!

Did a temporary aqua scape today. I'm gonna do 3 islands again but these are going to be taller than the ones in my old tank.

Future left island, It has rods in it to keep the rocks in place. There are some loose rocks connecting all 3 islands for now

Future right island is set up in the middle and its facing backwards for now

Future center island is on the right side of the tank for now.

So I bet you are asking your self "Why not just set up the islands now?" Well, I only got 3 AI fixtures and 4 foot rails on this 6 foot tank. I did it this way so that my frags can get enough light until my 6 foot rails come in and I get 1 or 2 more AI units.

Oh and my 3 tangs are schooling as you can see in the pics, I thinks they look pretty cool XD

Sweet looking Naso. Noticed your Sailfin has HLLE. I just diagnosed my Emperor with HLLE. Is there anything you changed once he came down with it? I'm kind of stuck wondering what to do. Thanks!

thanks man, I'm still a little scared of loosing him but he is eating really good now and he is starting to challenge the Sailfin so he is doing good so far.

thanks man, mine got HLLE because my old skimmer started producing stray voltage. I bought a new skimmer and I put a ground probe in my sump.
