Hello Everyone,

My Calcium level is at 550ppm and I am trying to get it down. Is there any repercussion if calcium levels are over 400 -450ppm?

I do have a auto top off system which includes Kalk and RO water. I have a 5 gallon jug and I continuously add one teaspoon with one gallon of RO water into the jug. I don't know if the sedments from the previous kalk from refill my RO jug is spiking the calcium level. Am I doing this correctly? Or am I suppose to completely clean out of 5 gallon jug everytime I refill it? I want to resolve this issue before I head out to Hawaii in 2 weeks. All advice is welcome. thx in advance.

You need something to stir the kalk in the reservoir, kalk has the habit of settling in the bottum and if you keep adding it will increase, I would suggest stop the process for now until the calcium goes down and get consumed by your live stock

Appreciate the advance. I guess I just have the calcium take it's course of getting used up. What happens when calcium level is high? Are the corals endanger? Can they die?
