1. Are u dripping kalk?
If so the kalk is raising ur pH.
I just recently had a high pH issue too and it was because I was dripping kalk 24/7.
2. Did u use calibration buffer 7.01 and 10, to calibrate it?
If use used buffers 4.01 and 7.01, u will get a faulty reading around 8.5 to 8.7. 4 and 7 are for use in fresh water or calcium reactors.
3. What type of filtration are u running? Skimmer, refugium, ats?
4. What's your alk at?
Now if the probe is calibrated right and u are still getting high pH then u can use vinegar or co2 to bring it down. With vinegar go slow add 1ml at a time and see what happens to the pH. Co2 will cost a little more so not many people go that route. But I did. I had an extra reg and bottle so when my pH gets to high I inject co2 in to my skimmer to bring pH down. Yes guys an ats does wonders on pH. My pH hasn't feel below 8.21 sense the scrubber grow in.
