I would like to share my experience of feeding my Powder Blue Tang. So hear it goes.

In the middle of March I bought a 2.5" Powder Blue Tang. It wouldn't eat anything other than Nori and the algae in the tank. I know immediately that this would not be a enough nutrition for him. I tried all sorts of foods and he would not eat anything I tried and I really did try everything. Then I found Reef Munchies.

I went to Ali at Amazing Aquariums and Reefs(great store buy the way, I take back what I said before about not liking it) and asked him about Reef Munchies. He showed me his Powder Blue Tang that ate Reef Munchies like it had never eaten before. So I bought the food.

I brought the food home and smelled the food(weird, I know), I can tell when the food is good quality and is fresh when it has a certain smell. I put it in my tank and immediately all my fish went crazy for it. So as you can guess the Powder Blue Tang went crazy for the food. I had never seen him eat any thing other than Nori and the algae in the tank. He became a very aggressive feeder now that I had this food.

So I hope I helped a few people save their Powder Blue Tangs.

I would highly recommend getting samples of the stuff. The guy who invented the stuff is really nice and hands em out at the shows.

Only a couple of my fish liked it, but I do know people who have fish that wouldnt eat anything at all and when given the reef munchies, ate this stuff up.

So it is hit miss. But a baggy will let you know what's up. And since the dude who slangs this (forget his name!) is super chill, I would try it out.

My guys weren't fussed on the munchies food but my powder blue eats everything from hand held pieces of silverside (very cool) to frozen spirulina enriched brine shrimp, mysis shrimp all soaked in selcon, garlic and vitachem.....
Glad your guy is finally eating. they are a super cool fish

Ya It was just for the other readers. But I also want a pbt. So good to know.
The best place to get them is Seaside(Fish Supply or fishsupply.com) because I have yet to see a PBT there with ich and they are always fat. It may be a far drive for you but it is worth it.
