my tank has slighty high amonia and nitrate... i was wonering if anyone new if the solution PRIME which reduces thoes things affect coral in any way???thank you for the help.

Prime will work fine in your reef but why the ammonia would be my concern

not to high .25 just dont want it to get higher....would it be ok to wait to add prime and do a water change till tomorrow or add prine right now

Large waterchange and look for dead things, snails, fish anything you haven't seen moving recently and take it out.

That's a big spike if it has been cycled for months, if new it's normal. Anyone stir the sand or remove rocks?

Water change for sure.

As for the cause...maybe you don't have enough biofilter. From your profile pic it looks like you don't have a lot of rock in your tank. Do you have more in your sump? Just wondering if you need more surface area for the bacteria to grow...

BTW- grew up in Placentia...parents still live there.

.25 is still high not good. Do the Wc this morning. And like said by wicked look for something dead. A dead snail can cause a spike.
