I'm selling mine after going back to halides. Haha Although, if they start getting dirt cheap, I'll just put it over my 8g. Hehe And what's a Radion Pro?

Ecotech decided that all those companies selling LEDS for $300-500 are suckers so they raised the price! You are not a true baller unless you get the Radion Pro now, all you brand whores are already wetting your pants.

Expanding on the technology found in the standard Radion XR30w model, the Radion XR30w Pro represents the cutting edge in LED technology, power, spectrum and spread. Utilizing EcoTech’s TIR lenses and outfitted with 42 top-bin LEDs representing eight different colors and running off of six channels, the XR30w Pro delivers unsurpassed full spectral output from 405nm (Ultra Violet) to 660nm (Hyper Red). The XR30w Pro’s premium LED's provide efficient and precise light output, while six channels of control allow users to adjust each color group individually.

The Radion XR30w Pro will be formally unveiled at MACNA, Sept. 28-30 in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Priced at $949, the Radion XR30w Pro begins shipping in early 2013. Pre-orders will be accepted beginning Nov. 1. Details of an upgrade path for existing Radion XR30w owners to upgrade their lighting systems with Pro components will be announced in the near future.

Oops, did I spill the beans too early? lol

So here is the description of the original: (non "pro")
The Ecotech Marine Radion XR30 utilizes the best of LED lighting and components. Each light utilizes 5 channels of super efficient high intensity LED's suited for the reef aquarium. But it dosen't stop there, each fixture is designed to evolve with technology. Fully adjustable spectrums, upgradable and wireless connectivity to Ecotech Marine Vortech Pumps.

The Radion is equipped with Ecotechs custom RF module which allows you to communicate with other Ecotech Wireless enabled pumps. And to top it off your lighting system is compatible with the Ecotech Marine Battery Backup system to provide that peace of mind during a power outage.

So what tiy are saying is the ultra advanced best ever Ecotech Radion that just came out a year ago is already out of date! You now need their NEW ultra uber advanced lighting system! But don't worry. it's MORE expensive than the previous one so you can now be the envy of ALL your friends!

Hmm, so Ecotech really in following Apples lead lol.

The old units were 130watts with 34 LEDs, the new one is going to have 42 LEDs so I guess the total watts is going to be 163. Even at 130watts you are in MH territory, the entire point of LEDs is to use LESS energy.

So sick. I heard they are guaranteed to grow SPS faster and better then any other light. And you don't have to dose anything. It automatically doses what ur tank needs. Don't ask how I know

Yeah but most reefers don't run there LEDS all the time at 100% so you would still see some energy savings.
