I have a nice red monti cap that recently developed some whiteish spots. Looks like fungus. I recently added about 15 pieces of mushrooms and one large hammer coral. My question would be if maybe the slime of the new corals did this to my monti? I did a few water changes but still bummed out about it. Doesn't look to be spreading at a rapid rate or bleaching. Just dark patches from no polyp extension and whiteish spots. Let me know if you've dealt with this issue and does it simply go away after a while. Thanks

it probably has been in contact with the slime from the hammer which "burn" it a little bit. But no worry it will bounce right back.

You can't kill that coral and if you need a spiral colony, I've got one in my I don't care about you corner of my tank.

Hopefully it does Eric. I would hate to lose my monti. I just went trough a nudi branch problem, which I took care of :)
