I saw that a lot of people got their lights in the group buy and was wondering how people like them so far? If you got the value fixture do the knobs on the top completely dim both channels? And with the lights on at 100% is the disco effect really noticeable? I am seriously considering getting one for my new frag tank!

Awesome thanks! How do you know what percent you are on if you are dimming by the knob? Do they have like little hash marks on the knobs?

Not out the box, but I think some people have somehow so look it up. They are value fixtures after all....

I got the photon24s and I'm picking up a par meter today. I'll type up a review later in the week. The disco effect isn't too bad. With both channels maxed out you get a uniform purple hue. This can be balanced by backing off the white channel(which includes the reds and 420nm diodes).

heres my vid. quality bites though but hopefully you get what you need out of it. its over a 40 breader so i might need another one down the line but for now it does what i need and i am completely happy with it. begining is at 25% blue 15ish % white. then you can see when i switch to a hundred percent and step back.

I saw these yesterday and have really been considering them this almost solidifies my decision but I'm not sure how I would suspend it.

Ok cool! Thats what I was thinking to do, maybe run the blue channel at 100 and the whites and 50-75.

i picked up some 16 inch shelf things from home depot and bam hung dead center over the tank. threw on a getto led strip to the fixture for moonlight and done.
