Well its about that time. Got everything together finally. Now onto getting this tank wet on Monday. Start the cycle and then will be slowly transferring everything shortly. I am trying to go with a minimalist design. Well here is how its looking at the moment. Still going to be using just a few pieces of rock from my other tank.

Tank has officially been wet for 3 days now. I cheated and added quick start. Got two chips of purple cap for testers. Both browned out the first day. Two days later. The chips already have there full purple color and blue polyps sticking out with new growth already. Going to be adding my fish in the next few days as long as everything stays stable. Then it will be time to fire on my skimmer as well. IMG_20150806_175710.jpg

Sump area. 4 chamber. 1438909911745.jpg I had to add some floss over the top of my drain because I was getting a lot of splash back. 1438910618828.jpg Upgraded to a Rio 1700 for return pump. Sea side aquatics filter sock holder with a 200 micron 4" sock. Also the new version of the Sca-301 skimmer.

Try submerging or extending your drain pipe halfway inside your filter sock to avoid the splash back. Btw liking the rock scape.

IMG_20150817_204332.jpg Diatom bloom has been going the past few days. Have one blue leg from my other tank and my six line in there for over a week. Going to be giving it another three or four days and turn my skimmer on, and drop my fish in to get the bacteria and bio load up a little more. Hopefully start transfer all corals over within the next few weeks.

Well tank is pretty much done with the full cycle. Just have to add more of my clean up crew from the old tank. Slowly catching a few stomatellas each night and transferring. Just added my blacker ice last evening as she was hard to catch. Tank currently has the blacker ice, six line wrasse, 1giant turbo snail, 4 blue lines, 2 red leg hermits, 2 nasarius, 2 chalices,2 caps, n a few Hawaiian palys. 1443148070308.jpg 1443148178785.jpg
