So I bought a "leemar tank from the guy 75G a few months back took 1.5months to build a stand and leak tested it,

After filling it up with water and setting it up, I see a ton of scratches, Some cloudiness marks that will not go away with acid or any chemicals at all. also the bottom pane looks like it was re-silicone'd

He posted it as "no scratches of any sort"

He's been MIA for a few months, If he post's another FS tank, I would inspect the tank very closely and not take another reefer's word anymore

Sucks your not happy with the tank but that is the chance you take when purchasing used items. I have sold Rieley a few things and I think I bought some coral from him. Seemed like a good kid. I haven't had much problems with scratches in a glass tank I'm not sure what you do to fix them. If there is a spot where you see newer silicone on a tank it doesn't always mean it had a leak. Some people put silicone on a spot they think looks weaker. If it doesn't leak and looks sealed I wouldn't worry to much about it. But it's always a good idea to carefully inspect items when buying them second hand

did you not look at it at all and assumed it was perfect? scratches are usually less visible when wet. so you should've been able to see it. so unless Riley is a chick and you were busy staring at her tits. I say no one is going to have your back on this.
LOL..I agreed. Always inspect when buying anything used or new especially used. Once money changed hands you owned it now. I bought a bunch of stuffs from him a few months ago. Everything is great for the prices.

Yeah but I would say its also dishonest to misrepresent something that is for sale. I guess its possible that the seller wasn't aware or the tank was scratched after emptied... highly unlikely but possible.

The bad reviews I do find funny are those when coral is purchased. If it was open in the sellers tank, and you purchased it, only to complain later that it died... melted... came off the plug? Welcome to reefing.

I find It funny/suspicious how RR only got a paid subscription when he was told he had to many sale threads.

Now I'm curious. Where the sale thread. I only found one that had a 70g. It doesn't say new tough. Only thing that says new is the 200. Even brand new I see the stand door is fu#&Ed up.

I met that guy a few times. He bought enough **** to set up 5 tanks. Then his housing situation went up In the air. Riley is the name of his daughter. She had a fish tank in her room (bought a blue face Angel from it) he seemed like a good guy just bought tons and tons of ****

I just did a search for the word "scratches" by rileysreef and came up with nothing. Even though it really is only your responsibility to check for them before buying the tank, what is the link to the thread where you bought the tank and he stated no scratches?

I agree with andy, I have dealt with darrell a few times. Good guy. Can't say the same thing about the op on the other hand. Not only from what other members have told me about him but from my own personal interactions with him. Lets put it this way, whenever I post a for sale thread and he hits me up, which seems to always be the case, I always make sure to ignore ; )

I just wanted to comment so people know we're not talking about Me. Just had to clarify because our names are so similar.

Rooster? I don't get it.

Anyhow.... If someone makes a post and says "no scratches " then there should be no scratches. Anything else is misrepresentation regardless of the buyer did not check. Yes shame on him or her for not checking but still false advertising and I believe that's illegal.

If I advertised a car for sale and I said title is not salvaged and then you find out the title has been salvaged that's false advertising. Again. Buyers need to Be A LOT more careful as there are a lot of dishonest people or shady people out there.

And yes. I know it's not a rooster. ;)

Looks like the thread in question, nothing about scratches though...

He posted it as "no scratches of any sort"
So now that we know that quote was a lie I'm going to go ahead and neg rep you. Using lies to attack someone's credibility is disrespectful not only to the person you're aiming them at but also to the people reading it who you're playing for fools.
