SoCalCreations closed down their shop a few months back b/c they want to concentrate on others things. They didn't rule out starting back up in the future though.

Thanks crad190. I am sure there are other reputable acrylic tank builders locally. Check with Ali at Amazing Aquarium and Reef in Orange. He may know someone who can do custom tanks.

reefmonkee - I'll put up a separate thread on working with acrylic soon. It'll have all the detailed photos to document all the steps.

Nanoreefbro - do you mean business as in making acrylic tanks for a living? Heck no. Too much work for me. I mostly do this for fun because I enjoy making things myself. Sometimes, I do make things for friends, like the 120 gallon sump I made for a buddy about a month ago. But that's the last time I'll make anything that big again. I just don't have all the tools and time to do big projects anymore.

The tank is pretty much all done. The external overflow has been glued on. A 1" drain and a 3/4" return has been drilled and bulkheads installed. And a black vinyl was put on to make it a black back. Now all I need to do is the plumbing.

So how much is one of these AquaPook frag tanks going to run me?
This one is expensive b/c of the 3/4" acrylic. In most cases, I wouldn't use anything that thick, probably 1/2" will do. I don't know how much time I have to really make another tank but if it's small enough, I may consider it.

Wow beautiful - I should send my customers to you instead of clear4life.
Thanks Tom. Clear4Life makes some pretty nice tanks.
