Should I be asking AA to build me a new sump, or taking a chance that this one won't leak?

How big is the sump John? How much potential water will be on the floor if it doesn't hold?

I would not risk it
I'm more worried about the cracks at the corner. It looks like it's spidering

30 gallons with the potential for 20 gallons to be on my carpet. Probably just going to order a new one, just wanted to spend the $400+ to do so to buy corals once the tank cycled. Oh well, better safe than sorry.

I agree not to risk it, I had 120 gallon DT that has similar issue on the side, didn't leak but decided to upgrade it anyway. Peace of mind worth the spend

Or instead of spending $400 on a new one, you can just buy a regular breeder tank, buy some sheets of acrylic or glass at lowes to use as deviders and save a couple hundred..

Man I've got a 155 dt with bigger moons then that.
I still may leak test it tomorrow for giggles, but I want the peace of mind of not starting with a system that might fail.

Custom is the way I will go. The sump needs to be no longer than 28 inches, and I want a built-in ATO. I've already priced up a sump from AA.
