not sure if this is normal or not but i just mixed a bucket of oceanic salt, it was clear, after an hour turned yellow. i thought something was wrong so i dumped it, mixed a new batch. batch turned yellow after an hour, and turned back clear again. i thought it was just the color of the light playing tricks on me but i filled another bucket next to the yellow water and can definitely tell, the water color had changed.

thanks for the help. i think i might have to call them and see. i usually mix it and come back for it after a day. but i was doing alot of maintenance on my other tank, while mixing this batch, and saw it get from clear, to tea, to clear. it is clear now, only living animals are clean up crew in the tank. good thing i got a box of instant ocean on the side.
