It's good to have someone on the inside to pull some strings. I think it looks cool. Definitely "purpose built". Not as sleek as some but it's all about how it does what it does not about how it looks while doing it. Don't see a controller though. Is it just on & off?
Awesome spread and color but it obviously hasnt had them very long. Good info thanks... what did that set you back?... nvm 220v? They going to release it in the US soon?
They are currently figuring out the logistics for a US release. If it comes out in the US don't expect the housing to change as they want to keep the industrial quality.
As for controller yes there is one. Here is a picture.
So the controller can be used through the PC or through an Apex or anything that has a 0-10V connection. Each controller box can control 4 light units. Power is supplied by USB to 5V wall wart so the controller is actually ready to go for US. I will be using the Apex. You basically just get a cat5 cable and connect the right leads to the Coralcare controller and you are ready to go. If the controller detects a 0-10V signal it goes into that mode automatically so no need to connect to computer first. It is only 2 channels white and blue which I like. I hate all these new lights with a zillion channels.
Channel 1 - Luxeon T Royal Blue, Luxeon UV 420nm violet
Channel 2 - Luxeon TX 6500K White, Luxeon Rebel Cyan, Luxeon Rebel PC Amber
Unit is 220V only as you can only get it in EU. I paid $800 shipped to my door from Holland for both light and controller. The controller is actually a separate purchase but it was cheap at ~$60.
As of right now the US target price is ~$749. It won't be the prettiest thing out there but the spread will be unmatched by anything close to price range.
