Just thought I should bump this thread. I did a water change yesterday in about 10 minutes. It used to take me close to an hour...mixing station is a must have IMO. Wouldn't own a tank with out one.

I agree, it's a necessity. I have mine set up, just need to get a 50' hose to make it from the garage to my tank. Then we'll see if that dc6000 will push the water in.

My Tank Build

Agreed. it really makes everything much quicker and easy. Only thing that will take a while is heating the water either at the station or in the sump prior to letting it go back in the tank. Im also debating using my rodi 65g container as my ATO tank but im too scared that something may go awry and dump 65g of fresh water into the tank... right now ive still got the AA 15g ato we bought as a group a few years ago

Just out of curiosity but where did you get the spears ball valves?
I got them in Anaheim, from Bell pipe and supply. But u can get them at a lot of places online. It's a standard spears schedule 80 slip slip ball valve.

Not sure if bell pipe will sell to the public. But if u call maybe they will sell to u

you coulda just drilled a 1/2" drain out of the top of the reservoir & directed it to your plants? I dont trust anything turning on my RODI but me.

You have done some amazing things with your tank and tank maintenance. Very cool.

Next time if you have the float switches or electronic eyes separated a little further so that you are making atleast 20plus gallons at a time, it lets your self flush work better on the spectrapure system. Nonetheless, it looks really great.

Appreciate the compliment.
No spectra pure system for me. Running a reg RO/DI, no computers or anything like that. I got the floats spaced out 10 gallons apart. My ATO is hooked up directly to the reservoir, so it will take a few days to burn through 10 gallons.

I love having things automated. So convenient

My apex also tells me if the reservoir is full or low. Super sweet setup

I've been dreaming to have this reservoir auto fill. This is such an easy setup. Between my ATO and doing water changes, seemed like every other week I had to walk out here and fill the reservoir. Now I will always have at least 50 gallons of ro/di

Ato reservoir low + decreased salinity in the apex would support ATO stuck "ON", useful information to have. As for total reliance on any automated controller, i decided to draw the line behind auto ATO.

I see an internet cam in your shed in the near future...
