Sea weed? ID this, good or bad?

Started growing on a random dry rock the other day... The rock is established now but was totally dry for years so this is new... Has a vine like growing pattern, grows sideways and roots along as it goes. Pull it? leave it for now or pull it and seed it to the rocks in the sump?

but it's not hairy.. it's solid and feels like the seaweed at the beach... just a different form?

Doesn't look like a micro algae but more a macro. I can't see the leaves well enough to tell much more than that

Looks like caulerpa. If it is its a pain in da azz to kill, which would explain it surviving on dry rock

Caulerpa brachypus - mini prolifera, mini Caulerpa.

Ya I would remove the rock if u can. There are many varieties of caulerpa. Bryopsis looks like feathery hair algae.

yeah I have a lot of hair algae in the tank right now... But I got a lawnmower who is slowly taking care of it!

I grow that stuff in my fuge. I believe it is:

Scientific Name: Caulerpa serrulata.

It's commonly called saw blade, razor blade, or razor leaf caulerpa. Not to sure if your fish would eat it (tangs). I have only ever kept it in my fuge. Grows very nicely though.

From the look of the picture the main one growing there is. It doesn't look like feather leaf.
