This might be a dumb question but my wife buys this stuff to make sushi at home it's pretty cheap way cheaper then what I pay for seaweed sheets at my lfs. why not buy this for your tangs?

it has to be unflavored. This is the one that i use, it does not break up as easy and have been using it for years. It comes in packs of 10 sheets. I prefer to buy the ten pack rather than the hundred pack as it keeps it crisp and fresh.
what i do is open it and cut it into pieces with scissors and place them all in a double freezer ziplock with the square freshener in there. Keeps it crisp and ready when I want to throw a couple pieces in at a time.

As this is really intended for human consumption...
it's crisp when it's fresh and I would not eat it if it was not fresh. So I wouldn't want my fish to eat food that was not fresh. I've killed fish before with bad food (not nori)
For what's worth, I buy the pack of 100 of unflavored and unsalted from Asian markets. I keep it in a large ziplock bag in my tank stand. Last pack is about a year old and fish still goes crazy for it when they get the special treat on the weekends.
