I have had nothing but bad experiences at almost every LFS I go to. None of them have decent prices or quality specimens, EXCEPT, Seaside Tropical Fish!! This store is the closest thing to "wholesale" that I've seen at a local fish store, and it's clean. There's lots of inventory and there are smokin' deals on frags and colonies. Has almost everything in stock or will be able to get it in a matter of a day or two. Seaside gets shipments in multiple times a week so there's always something new. Very competative and will match or beat almost everything, even online prices.
Check it out!!!

I've gotten fish from him and corals and they all are doing well. He has some really nice dendros and a few Black Tangs in stock too... His drygoods are great and he will match his online prices in the store too...:top:

Ok so after seeing this post I decided to go down to Seaside Tropical in Huntington. After all the hype I came out very dissapointed. I rate this place a 5/10. Coral selection was average, not much SPS at all, some LPS but nothing special and loads of softies. Inverts where good, large selection of clean up crew. Excellent selection and this is where they shine of Fish Only Fish, many varieties of Lions and Puffers. For the long drive (Hollywood) I would still prefer to visit Tom and Ali over this store any day of the week. Oh and price wise: 3 peppermint shrimp and 2#'s of Liverock = $48.99. Not cheap either.

Not true!!! He has a 150gal FULL of SPS. Are you blind? It's right next to the register. I was just there and the peppermint shrimp were 3 for $20 and the live rock was $5/lb! If you got 3 peppermint and 2#'s of LR that wouldve been $30, $35 MAX with tax. Don't knock it till you've tried! You didnt even go did you?? Check it out for yourself here's Seaside's webpage: www.fishsupply.com

Hey Rukis, I have the reciept to prove it. And his SPS tank was not very good, large colony's with ok color and some brown acros....hmmm great stuff. Still stand by my 5/10 unless you live nearby dont bother. So what you are also saying is I got ripped off by this 'amazing' fish store. I dont go out to give LFS grief but this store isn't up to AMAZING standards, you have just proved my point by them overcharging me. So suck it up and realize its not the Holy Grail of fish stores. Bet you work there too don't ya!

Ya riiiight!!! Even if you were charged an outrageous price of $8/shrimp for 3 shrimp and $8/lb for 2lbs of live rock, that's still only $40 plus tax $45 MAX!. Where'd you get $48.99! Doesn't ad up? I call BS! And if you didn't like the price so much, then why did you buy it?? True, a few of his acros have browned out, but that's because he just switched from 2 x 250watt 14K to 1 x 400watt 20K radium a couple weeks ago. That's inevietable to have some corals brown out due to light change! Get over it, that happens to everyone. You probably work for another competitor, don't you? Ask anyone who knows me, I don't work at a fish store, I work from my home! I'm a Music Producer. No need to explain myself, check Seaside out for yourself and you be the judge!

Work from home sounds like someone is unemployed. HAHA. I am actually a photographer and am not employed by a fish store. I just mentioned that I was not impressed with the store, obviously you guys are in bed together hence why you are so butt hurt someone didnt like the shop. I paid the price because I am not a haggler, and I drove 45 miles to get there on YOUR recommendation, I didnt want it to be a complete waste of my time. I will continue to shop at Amazing Aquariums and Socal Tropicalfish at least there I get good deals, they have great livestock and are good people.

Oh and for your info the final amount was $48.88, the receipt is right in front of me as we speak, seems I was overcharged 8.99 x 5, so they are ripping people off too, NICE! So I hope you enjoy patronizing your 5/10 fish shop as I go about patronizing mine.
