Unemployed?? Must be one hell of an umemplyment check ;) Come to my house and buy some corals if you want a good deal! I make more money selling corals then taking pictures. My living expenses are fully PAID for by corals!!! My 9-5 is spending cash! So your a photographer?? Seems more like your the unemployed one! I'm not butthurt at all, just don't like ignorant people talkin sh*t when they're clueless. If it was such a waste of time then why did you still spend $50? It's not that hard to say no. ALI isn't that far from Seaside you could have easily made your trip worth while and gone to another store instead. Pull your head out of your a$$! You are the ONLY one butthurt!

Work from home sounds like someone is unemployed. HAHA. I am actually a photographer and am not employed by a fish store. I just mentioned that I was not impressed with the store, obviously you guys are in bed together hence why you are so butt hurt someone didnt like the shop. I paid the price because I am not a haggler, and I drove 45 miles to get there on YOUR recommendation, I didnt want it to be a complete waste of my time. I will continue to shop at Amazing Aquariums and Socal Tropicalfish at least there I get good deals, they have great livestock and are good people.

Oh and for your info the final amount was $48.88, the receipt is right in front of me as we speak, seems I was overcharged 8.99 x 5, so they are ripping people off too, NICE! So I hope you enjoy patronizing your 5/10 fish shop as I go about patronizing mine.

I've been to Seaside numerous of times without any problems. Their dry good prices are the same as Marine Depot. Not many LFS sell drygoods that cheap. If a price is higher at the store then mention that their website is cheaper. They have a PC next to the cash register to check.

They have larger fish stock than the average LFS. Prices are average for being in Orange County and lower than Tongs. You can bargain but not much on their fish. Most I got was 10%. There's no cash discount on anything as well :(

Coral selection is good depending on what he brings in and could be a hit and miss.

If you're like me living in the IE, I go during the weekends in the summer. The beach is just 2 blocks away

AHAHAHAHAHA oh I hope we meet one day buddy, easy to be big and brave online. Unfortunately I did spend $50 and it will be the last $50 spent at that shop. You alone have put a bad taste in my mouth. I dont see how being unemployed and a photographer go hand in hand, I paid and pay for my home and all my nice things with photography. I guess its easy to buy a cardboard box to live in after selling some corals so thats not very hard. You are a joke and are making a fool of yourself online. So go back to 'producing music' or whatever lameass thing you do and STFU. Seriously so much bad mouthing because of a bad review of your 'Buddy's' fish store. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and I for one do not believe it was worth the drive. I am Butthurt because of a 90mile roundtrip on some Dumbass advice only to find 'just another fish store'. As opposed to the 'Holy Grail' of all fish shops which you exaggerated it to be. Man you must have had some bad experiences if you think that place is amazing. So finally I am not going to keep this going because it will never end. I just stand by what I said and say I was disappointed and would not go back in a hurry.

Hopefully one day we will meet and you can see who I am and vice versa. Maybe I could point you in the direction of a good fish shop. :)

I go into seaside about once a week, and it is a bit of a grab bag. "Named" corals/sps frags are not their thing. They have mostly wild caught/maricultured but do get "rare" stuff in (orange hammer, micro zoos, scolies, AAA acans and micros, black tangs, show size male blue jaw triggers). Never any linneage, rarely labelled or called by their proper name when pointed at, but you also don't get knifed at the register. David has had one of the best deals in OC for a month or so now on red sea pro and DD salt. It's been my experience that lfs' people find amazing or 10/10 have really high prices but make up for it with excellent presentation of the livestock via colorful names and well lit user friendly display tank setup. This makes many customers feel like they are getting more than they actually are and thus better about spending the money (socal being the noteworthy exception). Seaside puts little effort into either. But you can get a 50-60 polyp acan out of the back corner of one of seaside's tanks for the same amount you would pay for 20 polyps at some of the other places.

Photobret- "Holy Grail"?? Its just a fish store buddy. Just one I would go to if there was a need. Not a rip off and always stocked! If your looking for some crazy deals go get a business license and go to the wholesaler's. You live in LA where most of them are anyways!

The corals left over are for noobs! lol First come first serve! The good stuff just tends to get bought the same day it arrives. You have to go there the same day his corals arrive or your SOL. Check back frequently on the webste before you go or call if you live far. He updates the website ALL the time...

To be fair the Vanantu rock is nice, I should have asked how much it was before I bought it tho. Well at least I wasnt ripped off and paid the right price.

hey brett
honest mistake but seaside is great if you live near by and can catch the shipments coming in but if you go on the wrong days it can be bad as far as coral selection goes.
he always has good amount of fish. the cool part is when you do find something rare david dosent charge you an arm/leg

Listen bro, dont give me a ton of grief and turn around and try sell me your crusty corals, quite frankly you can put those corals where the sun dont shine. Make enough money to pay for your house from selling corals, I have never heard so much rubbish in my whole life, you cant even take a good picture of them and your attitude with enquiries from other people stinks. Also your tank looks like you raided the Wholesaler for mini colonies and bought impulsively, a man with a 120gal tank making enough money to pay his mortgage. PFFFT. Take a step back and look at yourself before judging others. I hope people realize what a douche you are and don't give you the time of day. (Hopefully) see you around.......

I felt ripped off for the most part until Fatty23 explained it to me. I am still not happy about spending $48.88 for so little but at least I wasnt ripped off, shop wasn't as good as I thought but may go back sometime, hey maybe I'll see you there fishing guppies out of the FW tanks for some kid. HAHA.
