She/He Wrasse

So we have a harem of wrasse. LL is the super male. Peewee is our small female. KT is, what I thought, the other female.

KT is now a smidge smaller than LL. They both chase eachother like its nobody's business.

Is there a way to tell the sex of a wrasse? Can they change sex like clowns? Did we have 2 males all along? Or are they just getting frisky and twitterpated?

Sounds like you had a Juvi the whole time. They will sort it out. If it gets out a hand that's what trading is for. I'm sure someone would want a male over a female.

Well they are nahacky wrasse so if we do have 2 males that would ne sweet. The chasing is not terrible so I hope they work it out because I love these wrasse. Does anyone know if they can change sex like some other wrasse do?

I don't think anyone on these boards know much about that wrasse as they are a newly discovered wrasse. They are really cool though. I have a pair.

Agree, I just did a search on that wrasse and came up empty........

Most fish that change sex are usually females changing to males, this happens with Wrasses too.

The markings and coloration. Also referred to as terminal male.
