I'm looking into getting a new skimmer for my tank. Dt is 60g with a 30g sump. What do you guys think about the vertex omega 150? I'm running a swc 120 with no problem. What are your inputs? Thanks in advance

f you are having no problem then why change anything? I'm not a fan of the SWC but just wondering why you want to change.

I'm not sure how old is the skimmer when I bought the set up so I was thinking of just replacing to something newer. I have a year with the set up

If you want to spend some cash then get a new skimmer. If the one you have works good then spend it on some new coral from one of the sponsors.. Don't replace what's already working okay. If you think you are overloading your tank with coral and fish and think the skimmer you have can't keep up with the bioload then, by all means, get a better one. Otherwise, keep what works and add to the beauty in the tank...

If the pump is working and turns on every time you re start it, then it's good… replace it when it breaks… and it's not an emergency either… same or next day is fine for replacement… Just my opinion...
