Tanks shimmed and leveled perfectly now. Was a pain and my tang had a ich outbreak from the stress but 2 weeks later hes a happy camper again. even though my sps, anemone and softies went dry for a good 20 minutes while drained I lost nothing and only 1 acro browned on me.

Picked up a new addition from Chance of Coral today. Nice little "gold member" chalice. For just getting thrown in the tank after a dip it looks great already.
Need ot figure out my dlsr

Starting to figure out the white balance on my camera. They are much closer to real life without all that false cool blue look.

Gold Member chalice from COC

Bleeding apple Scoly

Side shot. This is the one I really struggled with, once you get multiple colors in there its hard to make all of them pop. If anyone has a tip I'd appreciate it.

All my FTS had a reflection of my backyard in them. I'm going to try to grab one this evening.

Thanks Nik. You got that small red chalice by chance still?

Newest addition, CBB. Stoked I got him to pick at a half clam today. He's out and about and doesn't seem too jumpy.

I think I'm going to try some live brine mixed with Mysis tomorrow and if that doesn't work I've heard success with black worms. I left my mp40 on feed mode to make the Mysis look alive, he reacted and chased them down only to spit them out after a couple chews.

Front Tank shots from today. Set my white balance and didn't have to tweak anything afterwards. Look very close to "in person". CBB excepted frozen brine today to boot.

Same here, perfect blend of a cube. I was having noise issues with the drain gulping, but I closed the valve to 3/4 open and it runs super silent. All I can here now is my fan and mp40.

I noticed my mp40 has a few nics out of the propeller. I have this thing running 100% reef mode and have great flow, but wondering if the damage to the propeller is causing lack of power or maybe even my noise issue. I just didnt' have any noise with my mp10 if I got the wet and dry side lined up correctly.

Thanks for the kind words.

I want to pick up some form of encrusting monti for the small "bridge" rock connecting the center. Completely stump as to what should go on the actual center piece. Moderate strong flow but lower in the tank. Any ideas?

He wouldn't back off the CBB. Since I got the CBB eating I decided to let the yellow tang go. He found a happy home and my copperband is still doing good, a little picky though. If the food source doesn't resemble a brine he shows no interest. Also had an aptasia pop up and he wouldn't take care of it but oh well, hasn't munched a single coral. Same goes for my coral beauty, all model citizens!

nice thank!! I love the open top rimless look. I had a 60 gallon cube that was similar
I love the rimless as well. I ditched my MH/t5 combo, gutted the t5's and added to Ai sols. I built a "floating" hood to keep that rimless look, it turned out alright.

Some of my SPS aren't too happy with the change, my my LPS and softies are loving it.

New floating hood.
2x Ai sol + 4x24w t5s. My Lps loved the switch, most my sps look pretty pissed. First day I started with 40/50/50% and bleached some crap. I've dropped down to 20/32/32% and going to work it up slowly.

Some of the happy corals:

I can't get over how many heads this acan colony is shooting out. Started with 3 and a 2 babies around mid July. Spot feeding brine got these guys going gooooood :)

Thanks. Really happy with the switch, all my sps seem to be coming back around. My Red planted has made a drastic change in color. It was all purple and after the switch I thought it was bleaching. A week later the base is turning really grean, but the polyps and new growth are staying purple/red.

Got my wires all cleaned up. I'm going to lower the hood before I start ramping up the leds, the over spill is a little too much and if your under 6' you can see the lights.

I like the way this pic came out in sunset mode, B/RB only. I set my camera's white balance to cloudy and it pull a lot of blue out but kept some fluorescents of the coral.
