I'm glad to see that your Shazam lookalike is still alive. It's a beauty!
A lot of the named pieces I was bummed on losing but knew that I could still get a frag from somewhere. Losing some of the no namers was rough and I've really be holding out hope for this one in particular. I plan to move it to where I can enjoy it more. Hopefully it'll start to color back up here soon.

is that the baby blue table? the frag i got from you is doing pretty well, it might be a hot minute before i can get a frag back to you though :ROFLMAO:

the orangeback is seriously a beautiful fish, i feel like a lot of pics don't quite do them justice, but the orange/purple/blue is pretty stunning, i'm glad he's doing well for you and hopefully not causing any problems lol. if i ever get a bigger tank i'm gonna have to get one again

That is! Glad it's doing pretty well for ya. If you can find it's happy spot it gets pretty crazy from a top down view.

He healthy as an ox that's for sure. Unfortunately the pintail is MIA  I never saw any aggression, so who knows what did him in?

That's my only gripe about those damn pintails, I swear I look at them wrong and they curl up in a corner and die.

damn hopefully unrelated

yeah that’s been my experience too, my last attempt ended in a broken spine ☹️ They’re so pretty but getting one pre Qted might be the play

I put the baby blue in like the worst spot to put a table if I want any other corals around it lol, but I moved it near the red on red I got from you and it has a good area to table out now 👍

I added this carpet anemone (gigantea I believe) to the display earlier this week. Unfortunately it started showing signs of infection soon after addition.

I was able to remove it from the rock it walked too and got it in a acclimation box. I set up a quick 5g QT for it and started treatment yesterday with cipro @250mg per 5 gallons. I decided to keep it in the box for easy 100% water changes daily and also protection from the pump and heater.

I’m trying to decide on whether or not to run the light, I’ve read it degrades the cipro. I’m not sure if a gigantea can go 7 days without light is my only concern.

it’s still holding on with its foot and sticky so fingers crossed it can make the treatment duration.

Wow, thanks John and....yikes! I've been going overboard on the biotics big time. I'll treat it as a loading phase and cut my script in 1/2. For some reason I could have sworn I was doing 500mg in 10g when I treated one 6-7 years ago. The water has been getting a fishy smell so I've done 100% water changes ever 12 hours, but retreated the water. I'll probably continue that (nem seems to be pooping, not guts but solids) so i've been stressing over ammonia, I'll just cut my dose down to 125mg/5g lights out or if it gets stinky.

Thanks man! I probably would have cooked the thing.

No worries. Minh really knows his stuff when it comes to anemones and clams. I remember his name from when I worked at Tropicorium in the 90's, especially in the early days of keeping clams and treating for pmd with fresh water dips. Btw, I have cipro on hand if you need more? Good luck!

I should be good, mine's expired last year but I've had it inside in a cool place so I'm sure it's still affective. Maybe that worked in my favor with the OD. The anemone looks good this AM and the water does not smell.

Seems like everything is on back order right now.

Looking at my tank yesterday I decided to keep all the rock but open it up a bit. I basically swapped the middle and right structure and tied them all in on the backside, to form a cove.

The front left piece is going to be broken up and chiseled to house the gig in QT. I still have to place all the coral.

I really like how much of this section is floating.

I added the wavebox back into the mix as well.

hopefully the added flow will help with the cyano issue I’m having. I feel like I’m starting to see some improvement in acropora in the tank. Some pieces had polyp extension last night that haven’t since the issues started.

Looks good. PNS Probio will help get things back on track biology-wise. I had tons of cyano, but dosing it weekly took care of it after a couple weeks time. Which reminds me, I need to buy more.
