Looking good! Let me know when you're ready for some confetti? Plus, I'll give you a big frag of that abro that I have.

Thanks man. That section looks good, others not so much but hopefully it’ll chill out here and stabilize. It’ll be nice to see how new sticks respond that didn’t go through all the drama.

Last bit of sand is gonna go Friday. I’ll be sending off an icp on Monday and see where I stand on Tin and heavy metals.

looks pretty freaking good dude

is stuff just kinda not growing for you? i feel like stuff i had in my tank that lived through the metals had sort of a waking up thing they had to do. i'd add new stuff and it would seemingly encrust and do well quickly, meanwhile easy stuff like garf bonsai remained on siesta and seemingly took months to wake up

For sure I’ve noticed that but growth across the board is meh.
Newer stuff has faired better but no real growth with the exception of a few pieces. TGC orange creamsicle is going strong and BC aquaticman. Oregon tort is growing well along with frog skin but I swear frog skin could grow in a planted tank 😆

then I have other pieces still popping up with rtn and stn. I did find my Hannah salinity checker to be off. It read 1.025 and the TM hydrometer (big floating blown tube) was reading 1.028 which is what my ATI ICP also showed last time. I was also surprised to see no phosphates and low nitrates with no macros growing. Those combined with low ph drops seemed to do some of these pieces in. If I see >7.7 low I can count on more TN issues. I kill my co2 at night on my calcium reactor so not 100% sure what’s causing it?

I plan to run a ph test with water outdoors and a bubbler to see if I’m dealing with excessive co2 or organics suppressing the ph.
I really want to figure out how to get a good sized refugium running to help out there. I’ll probably be looking for a more triton based sump down the line

hmm that's weird, and sucks. did your other tanks have pH issues? i don't even test pH, but i'm also single with no kids and 1 kitten so i figure it should be high by default, but i do have a lot of little organisms in the tank making co2 in there lol

it's funny what's super hardy for some people. i don't think i can kill vivid rainbow delight. i can't really color it up super well, but that thing didn't give no fs about the metals in my tank. green slimer and frogskin would be stning and it'd be throwing up new branches :ROFLMAO: same with some knockoff pearlberry i have

i think my dream filtration is like a filter roller, giant skimmer, giant fuge. like you say a triton like one just loaded with macros. my filter roller dream might clash with my giant fuge plan

I took a few better daylight shots so I can reference these for growth and color going forward.

This one has me thinking it's gonna go soon. This is a look I feel like I see in the Tenuis before the bail out. I'm referring to that rear branch

TGC Creamsicle is the only truly healthy looking piece in the tank IMO.
