I'm subscribed on their newsletter, and they have a store wide 15% sale (dry goods) and 25% sale for livestock through July 4. After July 4 they have an online sale, but I haven't received word yet on specifics. I'm going to finally get a Helfrichi firefish, for only $40!

Hmmm, I'm subscribed too, but didn't get the email. I'll have to stop by...

Did it mention the usual deal on frozen food?

Yeah it was like $2.75 on Hikari.

I wish my new tank was set up! I want to get a Helfrichi and a Mystery wrasse! Oh well I'll have to wait till their usual sale around Reef-a-palooza time.

am i the only person that has a bad experience here? i went in and the prices seem OUTRAGEOUS, and there were only 2 ladies working that didnt really answer my questions and seeemed pretty rude to be honest...alot of times if a store has high prices i will give them a chance to get my business and price match like marinedepot or something and the lady like laughed at me...anybody agree? just to make sure this is the store in fullerton off of chapman right?....o and i drove all the way there one day to but some DIY T5 sockets and socket holders and got all the way home and they didnt even match up..i was sooo pissed...i know it was partially my fault but still made me mad! and to make it worse i paid with CC so it took like 2 weeks before it went on to my card..im sure this is out of their control but left a bad taste in my mouth!

I will agree that PoPs and the sister will ruin what Tom created.

Tom seriously It's not the same when your not there. It actually sucks when your not there, I was there yesterday and I had to haggle like a demon to get my way.

I agree with the comment about feeling like your bothering the sister and Tom's wife...and I always feel like I'm being watched when I'm browsing around. It's not a very comfortable atmosphere at times. When Tom is there it's much better...even though I feel like the 2 ladies are still watching me. AND, I usually go in at my lunch hour and I'm dressed all Biz Professional... like I'm going to shove something down my dress shirt (behind my tie).

Anyways, I really don't have anything bad to say about Tom ad SoCal Tropical other than the issues with me shoplifting :0... RIGHT! haha

He has great prices on some dry goods fo sho!

I've been dealing with Tom for a few a couple years now and he is awesome. The comment about the sister possibly ruining what he has built is spot on, though it is her store now.
Tom doesn't frequent this site anymore unfortunately so we are all talking to the air. I know the sister and have talked to her a lot and I still get the suspicious eye. Unfortunately the couple "wet pockets" out there have ruined it for the rest of us. Still, the best place for dry goods and his fish selection is much better now that he has moved. He always has nice wrasses in stock...

i def will second the dry goods!..he has anything and everything and its all in stock..and his fish selection is pretty good too..but i went there to check it out and they were asking over $20 for the medium sized chemi pure elite...just so all u guys know i got it from marinedepot for $8.95!! thats a good deal...i dont remember if it was MD sale or if they price matched another site..but either way thats a hugeeee mark up!!!! but maybe there are other things there that he sells cheaper...i only really checked price on the CPE..and when i saw the price i turned and ran! lol
