Can i throw these in with the scr hunting trip of '10, the fishing trip of '11, the poker tourney of '12, the hunting trip of '13, the farting and pissing contests of '14 and all the other trips, tourneys and outings that never came to fruition?:ciao:

Jk i hope this pans out..i hear kenny's got a mean jumpshot and sanh can play some serious spectating.
Unfortunately, the sence of community is not as it once was. Getting people to volunteer their time (especially on a weekend) is a rather difficult task to achieve.

We would consider helping to put together a small social event, as a co-sponsor, however it will take more committments....from other sponsors and/or owners to make it happen.

While sports may be an attractive bonding component for many people it is unfortunately rather difficult to secure a court or diamond to hold such activities. Not to say this should squash the idea of basketball, baseball/softball, etc. I'm just saying that an appropriate venue would need to be sought before even considering such activities.

All the venues I am familiar cost some serious $$$ to lease, even for a day. An ideal scenario would be finding a member or sponsor who has a family business, church, or other organization with appropriate outdoor square footage and appropriate parking. Getting that person to volunteer their time is an entirely new matter all together.

We will be exhibiting in MACNA/Denver in just a few more days, so I will be rather busy for the next week or so, but will try to stay in the loop nonetheless.

Those of you who are lucky enough to go to Denver, be sure to stop by the Marine Aquarium Expo booth #311 and say Hi to Tammy or myself. We will be passing out MAX postcards, pens, concubines, keychains and flyers, etc.
(sigh) Ok, so I lied about the concubines but at least my heart was in the right place!

: )

I think the greater problem would be choosing a central location that can snag up the most number of people - and having a diverse enough list of activities so that everyone can enjoy the day, rather then just who came to play BBall or something.

last year, we had a BBQ for my motorcycle group at George Bellis Park in Anaheim. the place had a lot of field space, tennis court for dodgeball, and pretty nice shaded area for BBQ'ing.

Flag football is probably the easiest game to organize as it requires nothing more than a strip of grass and some cones. Waist flag belts are cheap too.

any DJ's out there who know their way around a Yamaha 16-channel mixer board, speakers heavier than yourself, and a subwoofer the size of your Scion?

Makes no difference to me. wonder if we can do something at El Dorado park. it's relatively centrally located between LA and OC, it's huge with lots of room for activities. it'd be A LOT of planning though, and i'm terrible at that stuff.. >_>
