Hey Mark,
How's the blue spot doing?
You don't want to know. 2nd day my orange starfish was enjoying him. Don't know if he got stung by an anemone or what. I have three tube anemones and one mini red carpet But they have never killed any of my fish. My tank temperature runs between 77.7 and 79.7 so perhaps it was too warm for this fish. I absolutely love the look of this fish but really unhappy about being part of its demise. It appeared healthy and fat although had not taken any food yet in my tank. I did not confirm if it was eating before I picked it up--rookie mistake, perhaps. These fish can thrive in tanks just perhaps not mine. Not an easy fish to keep healthy.

So here is my red convexa, just getting its color and polyp extension again. My water station is seemingly getting things right back on track. Wow, wish I had just not resisted making my own water for so long.

Moving water from the store to home is really inconvenient, and its really easy to make your own.

oh and can I request a FTS when you get a chance im sure many are thinking it :p

I still have my piece from 2007. Thank you Kenny and Scrapz for holding them
Wow, that's a rarity! A coral in your possession for 7 years. It is a constant challenge to not only have your coral thrive but staying with the day to day requirements of maintaining a reef tank for 7 years. I know on one of the other forums they have some reefers that have been doing this for years. Wonder who has been at this the longest and maybe more importantly has the oldest coral or fish ( gonna start a thread on that topic, I think). I started with saltwater when my daughter was a young teenager and she just turned 30. My oldest coral is probably 3 years old. I had a gigantic tank crash that I inadvertently massively contributed to which preceded my current adventures.

This is another dragon I got for a trade with a fellow reefer here on socali. Bullitr, you'll have to tell me what it is called. It's settling in nicely but I believe it is supposed to color up more

The first picture is from the beginning of March, 2014

And here it is in June, 2014 ( three months for those who can't count so well)

And last, a couple of chalices. It looks like the pink boobies chalice might have just taken a ...., well you know. Picture came out a little pale, I'm still working on my photo skills.

Nope, dragon eyes is much darker purple body. I have a mini colony of purple dragon eyes and it is much deeper purple. ( I am somehow making the dragon eyes unhappy and hoping to save it--I'm not sure what I did to make it unhappy because it was doing well for some months. I just recently cut of all the branches and am just leaving the base to see if I can get the purple dragon eyes to come back). Oh, and the purple dragon eyes has slightly thicker branches
