The pictures certainly look similar. Perhaps you are correct
You maybe be right. That a coin right there
I always enjoy your input. But I truly have no idea what you are talking about, "coin right there". Apparently your spell checker is worse than mine which is saying a lot. But please don't correct it, I like the befuddlement

One of my many favorites, an oldie but goodie, who does not love the blue of the Oregon tort

Well I know this is not a sps but I don't know what kind of lps it really is. These are two different pictures of it, same angle, one is just zoomed in more than the other. Its kind of a light purplish/pink, I am sure there is a more accurate description for the color but I have no idea what that might be either. So I know neither the correct species or the correct color, but I do like it

Another non sps, kryptonite trumpet. Wildest, fluorescent green and I really like it. I'll see growth for a while and then lose a head or two and then growth. Not sure why it is not always happy but it is happy most of the time

This is ATL Joleen. It has a lot of green in the body which didn't really come out in the photo. It's probably 4- 6 inches from the sand but with all the white growth tips, it seems happy right there.

Thought I would share a fish picture. Borbonias anthias. I have a pair but I don't know quite how to tell if they are a mated pair or just BFF's

Got this symphillia some weeks ago. It did not come in looking like the vendors picture, kind of bleached actually. And it is slowly starting to color up a bit. Not any noticeable growth but a little darkening of the color. This is an all ati bulb lighting, 3 blue plus and 1 purple plus. Temperature corrected to 20k. The halides turn on later in the day.

Another frag that is starting to color up. Had color, lost color and now regaining color.

It has always stayed green. I have no problem with the "greening" of a coral. I always view that as a color that is about to ramp up to some new colors. Brown on the other hand is a problem. I really don't want anything to transition to brown because if it ever comes back, it is a long road to recovery.

Anyway, this frag seems to be settling in and getting color back. I think it has a lot of potential but time will tell. Part of the challenge of the hobby is getting those darn frags to settle in, encrust, branch and blow you away with color and form. Looks like probably a year or two away on this one, if it works out well.

Iphone pic about 10 minutes after being placed in my tank and a bayer dip. Yup, I dip literally everything in Bayer before it goes in the tank except fish and clean up crew.

So I felt guilty with an iPhone pic so here it is retaken with the real camera this evening

with MH, t5's and LED actinic supplements

and the blasamussa sitting next to it

MH, t5's and no LEDS

how many metal halides do you have and how close to the water do you keep them?
Sorry, I haven't checked in on the thread in a while. I run 3 x 250 single ended metal halides 20k XM's, and depending sometimes 14 inches, sometimes 24 inches from the water.

So i picked up a new blastomussa. I am pretty excited about it. Just took the picture of it in my display.

That's an amazing piece. It's like a master blasto.
