What do you guys think about keeping phosphates at around .05? I read a few papers about keeping phosphate at.05 gives better color and growth to sps. the paper said the best way to achieve this goal is to run the skimmer every other day.
when raising alk you have to watch your ph. mg low mag levels can throw off alk test. check whats your mag level. get that right then check your alk. what are you using to raise alk?

Not alot.......... according to the chart, I'm suppose to dose 47ML...........which I think something is going to die.......... I have no clue how to read the **** chart with the conversion.
if its 47ml you have to do it over the course of a day or 2. what i would do is when you do your water change make your new water alk a little higher then your tank

Nothing wrong with running higher phosphate levels, to a certain extent of course, but don't shut off your skimmer, aside from its obvious function it also helps to oxygenate your water
