What do you guys think about keeping phosphates at around .05? I read a few papers about keeping phosphate at.05 gives better color and growth to sps. the paper said the best way to achieve this goal is to run the skimmer every other day.

What do you guys think?

if its 47ml you have to do it over the course of a day or 2. what i would do is when you do your water change make your new water alk a little higher then your tank

I run my tank at:
Alk 9-10
Cal 450
Mag 1400
P04 0.04
Temp 77
salt 1.026

I get some good growth and polyp extension at this.

Nothing wrong with running higher phosphate levels, to a certain extent of course, but don't shut off your skimmer, aside from its obvious function it also helps to oxygenate your water

Stability is key period. I've kept sps in high phosphates and nitrates. Low everything, high everything. Just make slow changes.
