Your coral is STN/RTN and ur fish are eating the dead tissue. What are the odds that all those reef safe fish just out of the blue decided to start munching SPS. I've seen my tangs nip at dead tissue before. That seems more likely.

I would have thought the exact same thing with the Chromis on the milli, but I am watching the hippos eat perfectly healthy chunks of the neon green birdsnest, then once the flesh is stripped, go back and start munching on the skeleton. I'll get video tomorrow.

Oh you don't want my advice on feeding. Ours gets a corn-copia: nori, pellets, flakes, wafers, grazing disk, krill and mysis with selcon and garlic.

Four words...fish trap/sell em. Hippos are also known polyp eaters. Once they get bored or get super hungerz they eat power heads and Sps frags.

My Tank Build
#31
To bring back to topic.

Back on my 150 I fought phosphates like crazy. I when through a time were I was feeding very minimal, like twice a week. I ended up making a yellow coris wrasse and a yellow handy hogfish quire a taste for snails and crabs.

Stephen just bump up ur feeding a little at c if it helps. Ill b honest I don't even worry about phosphates in my new setup. (Not saying u shouldn't, but I don't) I do test for them every other week just to know where there at and only thing I'm using to lower phosphates is the algae turf scrubber and skimmer minimal tho. I'm having more fun with this tank then all the others. I've only lost one thing in the tank sense setup. But every think else is super happy and growing like weeds. Most of my nems have doubled in size in the last month or two and the few corals Lindsey gave me a few weeks back have already mounted or incrusted. I feed like crazy but love to watch every thing eat. Hopefully it continues to work for me. If not ill change it up.
