What are some good starter SPS for those that have tried and been successful with soft corals and LPS. So far I tried montis encrusting and plating ones. Is there a relatively easier branching SPS?

Digitata is pretty resilient- I've had it thrive in terrible conditions.

Leptastria (spelling?) Is also very hardy

I would agree that the birdsnest's grow like crazy. My first SPS was an Ora Bird of Paradise and it's grown like crazy. I also have a neon green birdsnest that has grown pretty good as well. Some of my other SPS has been hit or miss.

Any cheap frags
that's colorful.
Most of the bird nest are colorful. My favorite is the neon green, but there is a pink one, red with green tips, lots more color combo, usually plentiful and most are pretty reasonable. The neon green bird nest is really neon green with large polyps so its branches are not sharp and spindly looking during the day. Can be grown in shaded or bright areas in the tank. As with all coral, need a healthy frag and a tank with stable and appropriate parameters.
