Starting 2 part with bubble magus dosing pump and need some confirmation.
Do my steps seem correct?
So first step
1. Test levels, CA, kh and mag to get Initial levels.
a. 400, 8, 1200 Monday results
2. Test everyday for the next week till Sunday
3. See how much levels go down
a. 350,7,1100 Sunday results
4. Then use reef calculator
a. So if calcium is 350 at the end of the week it mean I need 250ml /7 days
5. Then let dosing pump do the rest

Sounds good to me John, but I don't think you need to test every day. I set my doser to my normal ml's I would dose manually and then test after the 5th day. Then I used the reef calculator to see how much I needed to increase/decrease and then I rechecked by hand using the concentration of the solution just for peace of mind.

I would also run your dosing pump outside your tank for a few days and collect the liquid to reconfirm what you are actually dispersing to confirm your daily dispersement is accurate for each pump. Normally their is an error rate of about 10 % up or down per pump but the error is consistent on a daily basis. This sometimes explains why you need to pump more alk or calc then your would anticipate. Also make sure you get all the air out of your lines, before your test. As a rough estimate , a good starting point in a normal stock SPS tanks will need about 1/2 a ml per ALK and Calc per day of the total gallons in both your display and sump .
