Very generous on the coral color up challenge! When do we pick up the frags?

Hi All, I’m Joey (asagi).

Tank: rimless W48”x H21”x D30”peninsula from crystal dynamics with a 20 gallon breeder sump. Total volume with sump maybe 140. This tank has been running for about 4 years now. Recently did a major rescape removing a lot of coral.

Filtration: Sea Side Aquatics ES7 skimmer.

Lighting: 2 AI Hydra 52 HDs and 2 AI Hydra 26 HDs

Flow: 2 MP40s on random full blast and a Tunze (something) to push flow along the surface.

Salt: AccuraSea1.

Dosing: B-Ionic 2 part.

I don’t see why we can’t modify the rules a little for the sake of the corals? Since we don’t have the corals yet? Thoughts?

Here’s just a thought and maybe some others can argue or agree. But can we have a 2 week acclimation period before we mount in fixed spot?
Even in Steve’s message he stated that these frag will need to be acclimated to our blue lights. I would like to put my frag in the sand bed for the first week so my lights don’t stress the coral out to much. Then the second week I’d like to bring the coral up mid way to where I finally put it.
Unfortunately my halides are not dimmable

You can acclimated it down lower just put it where you plan to grow it after and/or take a picture of it where it’s gonna be placed at then move it back down if you are gonna acclimate it

Pumps: 6x 6105, 4 of which are on sea sweeps. 1xecm63 hydrowizard across the back. The return pump is on sea swirls

Theres a Bunch! a good place to stop is Tongs fountain Valley, and Seaside aquatics, a bit further but worth the drive!
