I recently switched from the generic to PE and now the day after I feed (2 times per week) I get bacterial blooms and my water gets milky. I have a SWC Xtreme 200 skimmer on a 35 gallon set up and I've never had this issue before. from my understanding, my only big concern is depleting the oxygen in the tank, but I have a huge skimmer and a powerhead that blows at the surface to keep it turbulent.

Should I be worried about the health of my tank? Can I do anything to fix this?

If you speak with anyone who has been to a mysis farm or packing place they will tell you it smells like pure caca. They are very dirty creatures and are in very poor conditions. Definitely strain those things.

Giving that to your fish is like feeding then ham every time. If you feed that often then even the fish's health will deteriorate.

I can post a pic after work.

I defrost the mysis in a shot glass and decant off the liquid when it settles, I could probably do better honestly.

I actually don't have any fish in my tank, I just feed the corals and shrimp. I also have a half dozen mangroves growing out of the tank. (36"x18"x12" shallow tank)
