having a small fan blow either across the sump or the tank will help lower your temps

The best combo was one described by reefer714. Get a couple of fans hooked up to a controller. Set it so it goes on at 79 and off at 78. The chiller will be set at 80. That way you don't need your chiller to run all day like mine:laugh:

Fans

9" fans from Home depot or Wal-mart for $10. Very powerful, that is what i use in my tank.

Im running 6 of them 9" fans in my tank, sump and refugium. They all controlled by the ACJr set at 79 degrees and off at 78 degrees, chiller start at 80 degrees. My tank temp always at 79 or 78 degrees (thanks god )

if you can, buy couple large fan (9") put couple in the sump compartment and some flow from behind of your canopy. Them 4" canopy fan is a waste of money IMO

Emergency cooldowns, Keep a 2 liter bottle, freeze water in it, and just put it in the sump. Moniter your temps. Damn, with fans running, the evap rate is nuts!

I have the RODI unit hook-up direct into my sump 100g/day. I don't mind the water usage (Its free). I do mind about the electricity usage .36 cents/kw
